Teaching is extremely important in the life of the church. Jesus said as part of the Great Commission, “…and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:20a). The purpose of our teaching ministry is to equip God’s people educationally and bring us to maturity of faith in the Lord Jesus. The focus is on the renewing of the mind—to take captive all thought to the Lord Jesus Christ. We want to be an ever growing, learning body of believers. We want to cultivate a love to search out what our great God has done and is doing.
